Iranians mark martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Fatemeh (PBUH)
Iranians across the country and Shia Muslims throughout the world mourn on the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Fatemeh Zahra (PBUH), the noble daughter of Holy Prophet of Islam Hazrat Muhammad (S) on Thursday.
In this year’s ceremony, a funeral was held in front of the University of Tehran in downtown the capital on Thursday for 100 unidentified Sacred Defense martyrs, who became martyred during the Iraqi-imposed war on Iran under Saddam Baathist regime between 1980-88. As many as 200 other unidentified martyrs in other cities across the country will be laid to rest after today’s funeral ceremony which take place on the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Fatemeh (PBUH).
The Speaker of the Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf led the funeral procession in downtown of the capital.
