“Iran’s Armed Forces are perpetually prepared to respond to any threats”

Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, the Chief Commander of the Iranian Army, has stated that the Islamic Republic’s Armed Forces remain in a state of continuous preparedness to counter any potential threats.

During a ceremony at Iran’s Army University of Command and Staff (DAFOOS) on Monday, Mousavi addressed the development in Syria, where militant factions led by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) captured the Syrian capital after a swift offensive on Sunday.

“The Armed Forces maintain a consistent duty to thoroughly prepare for potential threats, ensuring their readiness remains steadfast and ongoing,” he stated.

He assured the people of Iran of the Armed Forces’ heightened state of readiness, emphasizing that the nation does not solely rely on its military capabilities.

He added that Iran stands out as a distinctive nation globally, where the entire population rallies behind national ideals and the Armed Forces diligently carry out their responsibilities.

Iranian authorities have emphasized their unwavering commitment to bolstering the nation’s military capacities, including its missile capabilities, which are asserted to be solely for defensive and deterrent purposes. They also reiterated that Iran’s defense capabilities remain non-negotiable.

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, has consistently advocated for the enhancement of Iran’s defense capabilities.
