The commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Iran’s Mazandaran province has reported that intelligence agencies from the United States, Israel, and other opposing nations have been attempting to penetrate Iran’s borders. These foreign entities are allegedly utilizing foreign nationals and frequent travelers as means of camouflage for their operations.
Brigadier General Siavash Moslemi, the provincial commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, declared on Wednesday the successful conclusion of a strategic operation. He noted that the effort effectively thwarted major security threats and averted potential crises from escalating.

Moslemi has reported that intelligence agencies from the United States, Israel, and other adversarial nations have been engaged in efforts to penetrate Iran by masquerading as foreign nationals and refugees. A significant number of these operatives were reportedly disguising themselves as part of commercial enterprises, cultural organizations, and charities, aiming to gather sensitive information and develop influence networks inside the country.
The IRGC successfully identified and dismantled the espionage networks following detailed intelligence surveillance, according to the commander.
In a continuing series of operations targeting foreign espionage, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has executed another successful dismantlement. This follows closely behind a similar operation in January, where elite IRGC units apprehended individuals linked to a spy network in Khuzestan province. Those detained were allegedly collecting intelligence on sensitive Iranian sites on behalf of a foreign intelligence agency.
In December, authorities from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) detained an individual in Iran’s Ardabil province, accusing them of having ties to the intelligence agency of a neighboring nation.
In a recent development, Iran’s Intelligence Ministry disclosed in late October that it successfully dismantled a separatist organization associated with the Israeli regime. This group was allegedly preparing to infiltrate Iran from the Iraqi Kurdistan region with the intent to provoke civil unrest and conduct targeted assassinations. During the operation, one of the group’s prominent members was killed, and two others were apprehended, with authorities seizing their weapons.
