Iran’s Min. of Def. felicitate Syrian counterpart on Aleppo liberation
Iran’s Hossein Dehghan has congratulated Syrian defense minister on liberation of Aleppo through a phone call.
Brig. Gen. Dehghan who is in a 2-day official tour of South Africa told Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, Defense Minister Gen. Jasem al-Freij on Wednesday that the success would be a turning point in fight against terrorism and Takfirism; “the defeat of ISIL in Aleppo is also valuable for Syrian people as their award for supporting their government and thus I congratulate the nation as well,” Gen. Dehghan told Syrian counterpart over the phone.
Gen. al-Farij for his part hailed Iran’s government and nation’s support for Syrian government and people in battle against terrorism and shared Dehghan’s view that both countries should remain resolved to tackle extremism and terrorism in the Middle East.
