Iraqi cleric calls for unity prayer in Fallujah
Following the liberation of Fallujah from ISIL grip, a senior Iraqi scholar has called for a unity prayer to be held among Shia and Sunni Muslims in the city.
Sheikh Mohammad al-Nouri, deputy of Ribat al-Mohammadi council of scholars, in Iraq has called for a unity prayer in the recently released city of Fallujah, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Mohammad al-Nouri congratulated liberation of Fallujah calling that the victory of Iraq, Iraqi nation and resistance over ISIL and Al Qaeda.
He called all Shia and Sunni communities to hold unity prayer in Fallujah.
The cleric had previously criticized some Iraqi politicians who blocked promotion of Fallujah operation saying that some politicians are running their political business with the blood of the people in Fallujah.
Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al Abadi in a message announced the liberation of Fallujah noting that minor areas in the liberated city are still within the hands of ISIL vowing that the whole city will be cleared from terrorist ISIL members.
