Iraqi PM praised General Qassem Soleimani for his contributions to combatting terrorism
The Iraqi Prime Minister has lauded the contributions of the late Lt. General Qassem Soleimani, former commander of the IRGC Quds Force, alongside his Iraqi colleagues, for their pivotal role in safeguarding Iraq's security during the battle against terrorism.
Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Al-Sudani delivered remarks during a ceremony marking the fifth anniversary of the death of a senior Iranian commander and his associates, who were killed in a U.S. drone strike in early 2020.
Al Sudani stated that the fallen commanders laid down their lives in service to the community.
The Iraqi Prime Minister announced that the country is “fully prepared to respond to any form of aggression, regardless of its origin.” He highlighted the government’s commitment to bolstering the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) and underscored the importance of collective efforts to safeguard the nation’s democratic system.
