Iraqi resistance vows ‘ironclad support’ for Hezbollah, says ready to send fighters
Iraqi resistance leaders have expressed solidarity with the Lebanese people and the resistance movement Hezbollah following the explosions by Israel in Lebanon.
The Iraqi factions have indicated readiness to send forces to Lebanon to confront the Israeli regime.
Nearly 40 people have been killed and 3,500 injured in the wireless device explosions.
On Friday, the head of the Nujaba Movement’s office in Baghdad delivered a message of support to the Lebanese Ambassador to Iraq, Ali Adeeb Al-Habhab.
During this meeting, he reaffirmed the movement’s commitment to standing with the Lebanese people against the Zionist enemy, particularly in support of Hezbollah during Israeli aggressions.
Separately, Abu Ala al-Walai, Secretary-General of the Sayyid al-Shuhada Brigades—part of the Iraqi Islamic Resistance umbrella group—stated that they are prepared to deploy thousands of fighters to Lebanon in support of the Lebanese resistance.
Iraq’s Islamic Resistance, an umbrella group of anti-terror fighters, strikes a target lying in the Jordan Valley in a fresh pro-Palestinian operation.
In a message directed at Hezbollah’s Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, he declared, “If a thousand of your members are martyred, we will come to your aid with 100,000 heroes. We are waiting for a signal from you to witness a human flood of Iraqis at the borders of Lebanon.”
Since October 7, 2023, the Iraqi resistance has conducted hundreds of operations against the Israeli regime, regularly targeting strategic military positions in Haifa, Tel Aviv, and other locations.
One of the recent notable operations occurred on September 4, when they struck a strategic target in Haifa’s port using a squadron of kamikaze drones.
