IRGC confirms martyrdom of 7 advisors in Israel attack
Seven of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) military advisors were martyred following the Israeli attack on Iran’s consulate in Damascus on Monday, IRGC said in a statement.
Following the irreparable defeats of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian Resistance and the resistance of the people of Gaza, the Tel Aviv regime carried out airstrikes on the consulate building of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Damascus, IRGC said in a statement.
Strongly condemning the Israeli aggression, the IRGC said that seven of its military advisors were martyred during the Israeli missile attack.
Mohammad Reza Zahedi, Mohammad Hadi Haji Rahimi, Hossein Amanollahi, Seyyed Mahdi Jelalati, Mohsen Sedaghat, Ali Agha Babaei, and Seyyed Ali Salehi Rouzbehani were the IRGC military advisors martyred by the regime of Israel in Syria.
Reacting to the Israeli aggression, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kan’ani on Monday night said that the Islamic Republic of Iran, while reserving its rights to take countermeasures, decides on the type of reaction and punishment of the aggressor.
Earlier on Monday, Iran’s Ambassador to Syria stressed that the country will give a decisive response to the Israeli regime.
The Iranian advisors, who are present in Syria at the official invitation of the Syrian government, have played an important role in helping the Syrians fight terrorism and help establish peace, stability, and lasting security in this country.
