ISIL in serious trouble after losing large part of west Mosul
Tuesday was another rough day for the Islamic State (ISIL) forces inside western Mosul, as they lost a big chunk of territory to the Iraqi Army and Federal Police after a fierce 48 hour battle.
What began as a small assault on the southern Industrial Zone of west Mosul, ended in the complete collapse of the terrorist forces in the entire Industrial Zone of the city.
Iraqi Army units and their allies from the Federal Police managed to impose full control over the entire Industrial Zone of northwest Mosul on Tuesday, killing and wounding scores of Islamic State terrorists, while also destroying a number of armored vehicles.
With the Industrial Zone under their control, they have successfully secured the southern axis of the Hamarat District, leaving less than 40 percent of western Mosul under ISIL control.
