ISIL unstoppable due to US support
The United States and its Western allies have turned the ISIL terrorists into an “unstoppable force” in the Middle East by providing military support for the Takfiri group, a political analyst tells Press TV.
“The ISIL militants are backed by the most ruthless and well-equipped military and political machinery in the world and of course I am talking about the United States and the West,” Mark Glenn said in an interview with Press TV on Sunday.
Glenn also pointed to recent reports about the massacre of hundreds of Iraqi soldiers at the hands of ISIL terrorists and said the extremist group is “almost an unstoppable force in the region because it is backed up by the United States.”
He described the ISIL as a rebranded form of the al-Qaeda terrorist group and stressed, “They are here to rejuvenate all of the anti-Islamic hysteria that existed in America and the West as a precursor to launching more aggressive actions wherever” they wish.
The commentator further stated that the entire international community must join hands with influential countries such as Iran, Russia and China in an effort to stop the spread of ISIL-fueled terrorism.
On September 3, Human Rights Watch (HRW) said ISIL Takfiri terrorists had massacred hundreds of captured Iraqi troops when the militants overran a military base the north of the capital, Baghdad.
The ISIL took control of large swathes of Syria’s northern territory before sending its members into neighboring Iraq in June and seizing large parts of land there.
The terrorists have committed heinous crimes and terrorized all communities in the areas they have under control in both crisis-hit Arab states.
