Israel violently raids WB villages amid escalated aggression

Israeli forces have conducted operations in several villages surrounding the West Bank city of Ramallah, as tensions in the region have escalated in recent weeks. This activity is part of a broader increase in hostilities in the occupied Palestinian territories.

According to reports from Palestine’s official news agency WAFA, which referenced local sources, Israeli forces conducted a forceful incursion into the village of Nabi Saleh, located northwest of Ramallah, on Monday evening. The operation reportedly involved the use of live bullets and teargas canisters.

According to a report by Press TV, the agency stated that the occupying forces advanced into the central area of the village, discharging volleys of live ammunition and teargas canisters. This incursion led to clashes between the forces and those present in the village.

Israeli troops apprehended several young individuals after evening prayers near a mosque in the village of Nabi Saleh, according to reports.

In a recent operation, Israeli forces conducted a raid in the village of Aboud. During the operation, troops fired multiple concussion grenades. As of now, there is no confirmed information regarding casualties or detentions, according to reports from the news agency.

Reports from WAFA indicate that numerous Palestinians suffered from suffocation during an Israeli operation in the al-Arroub refugee camp, located to the north of the occupied West Bank city of al-Khalil, on Monday evening.

In a recent escalation, occupying forces launched an aggressive incursion into a refugee camp, unleashing volleys of live ammunition, rubber-coated bullets, and explosive devices at residential areas. This assault resulted in numerous civilians suffering from severe respiratory distress due to the heavy deployment of tear gas.

According to information provided by local sources, the news agency reported that on the same day, Israeli forces conducted assaults on Palestinians located in the al-Matwai Valley, situated to the west of the occupied West Bank city of Salfit.

Reports have emerged indicating that occupation forces recently targeted vehicles registered in Palestine, resulting in damage to numerous cars traveling through the area.

According to the WAFA news agency, settlers assaulted a civilian and discharged pepper spray directly into his face.

Earlier today, United Nations Special Rapporteur on Human Rights, Francesca Albanese, issued a stark warning regarding the situation in the West Bank. She cautioned that the area is at risk of experiencing extensive ethnic cleansing, as Israel, described as the occupying power, reportedly advances plans to annex the entire Palestinian territory and forcibly relocate its residents.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has expressed grave concerns over what he described as the “real” threat of mass ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in the occupied West Bank by Israel. He highlighted that such actions could potentially amount to war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide.

Israel has launched an extensive and prolonged military operation in the West Bank, marking the longest such offensive in the region since the second Palestinian Intifada in the early 2000s.

The recent surge in hostilities has resulted in the displacement of over 40,000 Palestinians within a matter of weeks, predominantly affecting those residing in refugee camps across the occupied West Bank.

The attack occurs amid a prolonged 17-month military campaign targeting the blockaded Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of at least 48,577 Palestinians to date.

In January, the Israeli government reached an agreement for a ceasefire with Hamas, the Gaza-based Palestinian resistance group.
