Large-Scale Coup against Al-Nusra Front Reported in Syria’s Idlib
The Arabic-language al-Hadath news quoted the sources as saying that all the terrorist groups in Idlib in Northwestern Syria have stormed the positions of Al-Nusar Front and al-Joulani in a military coup.
Al-Hadath further added that talks between the Syrian Army and representatives of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) are underway to get rid of Al-Nusra and al-Joulani in order to prevent eruption of clashes and pave the ground for restoring peace and tranquility in the region.
The Syrian government forces have made fresh gains in the war on terrorism in the provinces of Homs, Hama, Aleppo, Raqqa and Deir Ezzur, purging the entire country of ISIL terrorists as soon as possible.
Relevant reports said in July that Al-Nusra Front ultimately pushed Ahrar al-Sham back from Idlib city after weeks of bloody clashes in Northwestern Syria.
Informed sources affiliated to the terrorist groups said that Al-Nusra gained full control over Idlib city and has driven the entire members of Ahrar al-Sham out of the city.
They added that regardless of the ceasefire, fierce clashes between Al-Nusra and Ahrar al-Sham were underway to take control of passageways and command centers.
In the meantime, media activists said that Al-Nusra’s superiority over Ahrar al-Sham in Idlib seems to be against its interests because it increased the possibility of imminent military operations against them by Damascus.
