Last batch of terrorists to leave Barzeh suburb of Damascus
The last batch of militants and their family members are being transported from the Barzeh suburb of east Damascus to the Idlib Governorate, per the agreement put in place between the government and Islamist rebels.
According to the National Defense Forces (NDF), the government-provided buses have arrived to Barzeh and will leave in the coming hours.
Once this batch of militants and their families leave Barzeh, the Syrian government will have full control of this suburb for the first time since late 2011.
While all of the hostile militants will have exited Barzeh today, several other rebels will remain inside the suburb, as they attempt to settle their cases with the government.
