Leader stated that opponents inflate their strength as a psychological warfare tactic

Ayatollah Khamenei expressed his thoughts on Wednesday during a gathering with the organizers of the National Congress of Martyrs of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province in Tehran.

The Leader stated that Iran’s opponents have consistently attempted to intimidate the nation and compel it to back down in military matters.

“Ever since the Revolution’s success, attempts have been made to implant the idea that we ought to be afraid of America, Britain, and the Zionists.”

“If today’s governments, who often yield to the demands of domineering powers, were to trust in their own people and abilities while accurately assessing the enemy’s strength without overstating it, they could effectively neutralize those demands.”

Ayatollah Khamenei mentioned that overstating the enemy’s influence in the cultural arena leads to a sense of passivity, an inclination towards the enemy’s culture, and a diminished appreciation for one’s own culture.

“The consequence of this passivity is the adoption of the other group’s lifestyle and the incorporation of foreign words and phrases.”

The Leader mentioned that Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic, played a significant role in eliminating fear from the hearts of the people and fostering a sense of self-confidence and self-belief across the entire nation.

“Our country believes that by depending on its internal strengths and abilities, it can achieve significant feats, and the enemy’s power is not as overwhelming as it appears.”

The Leader viewed the Iranian martyrs and fighters as heroes in the battle against the enemy’s psychological tactics.

“Through their sacrifice and relentless struggle, the martyrs confronted and overcame psychological warfare. As we honor their memory, it is essential to emphasize and preserve this truth.”
