Mikdad and Araghchi : Pushing strategic relations between the two countries forwards into broader aspects
Damascus, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad, made a telephone call with Mr. Abbas Araghchi, extending congratulations on appointing him as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Minister Mikdad conveyed the greetings of President Bashar Al-Assad to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ali Khamenei, and to Mr. Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The two foreign ministers stressed the importance of pushing and strengthening the strategic relations forward between the two countries into broader perspective Mikdad stressed the importance of what the new Iranian leadership has emphasized regarding the tireless work to improve relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and neighboring countries.
The ministers agreed to continue coordinating the two countries’ stances on regional issues, including support for the Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank and Jerusalem. The two sides condemned genocide’s policy and crimes committed by the racist Zionist entity against the Palestinian people without any deterrent.
The two ministers also condemned Western policies, especially the US one in supporting Israeli crimes, its lack of seriousness in putting an end to these crimes, its disregard for the human and living suffering of the Palestinian people, in complete contradiction with the principles of international law and human rights, and the right of the Palestinian people to life, liberation, and the establishment of their independent state on their land.
