Military Council: 4,180 ISIL Terrorists Killed in Manbij Battle
The Military Council of Manbij in Aleppo province announced that over 4,000 terrorists have been killed in tough battle with the predominantly Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) since the beginning of Manbij liberation operations.
“A sum of 4,180 terrorists have been killed in the battle over Manbij and the dead bodies of 1,724 of them are with the Kurdish forces,” the military council said.
The council said that 112 ISIL terrorists are in custody of the Kurdish forces and 144 different kinds of military vehicles have also been destroyed in Manbij battle.
Last week, the SDF pushed ISIL back from the entire neighborhoods of Manbij in Northeastern Aleppo after over 70 days of non-stop bloody clashes with the terrorists.
“Except for Ouhei’een area in Northern part of Manbij, where the ISIL has used civilians as human shield, the rest of the town has been liberated by the SDF, mainly comprising of Kurdish fighters,” the Kurdish sources said last Monday.
“The SDF tries to free the captured civilians and win Ouhei’een area,” they added.
“The SDF fighters have launched mop-up operations near cultural center, al-Amal hospital, Anmi square, al-Moqti bazaar, al-Sarab neighborhood, al-Joureh neighborhood, agricultural school and along the town’s road to Jarabulus,” the sources said.
“Manbij has militarily captured by the SDF combatants,” the sources underlined.
