Missile-launcher warship to join naval North Flotilla
Iran’s Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said Separ missile-launcher warship would join the naval North Flotilla by the end of current Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2018)
Sayyari made the remarks in a gathering attended by naval forces in Anzali in northern province of Gilan.
He added the Iranian navy is planning to equip the naval South Flotilla to submarine and battleship during the mentioned period.
Recently, Sayyari said that the force is ready to ward off threats, bullying and foreign coalitions.
“We do not fear any threat in safeguarding our borders and national interests,” he added.
Now Iran’s water borders have broadened, as the Navy has an active presence up to 10 degree latitude of the Indian Ocean, he said.
Sayyari further pointed out that regular presence in open seas, prevention of Iranophobia and protection of national interests and Iran’s shipping lines in free waters are indicative of strategic role of Iran’s Navy.
