NGO raises alarm about Israel’s ‘enforced disappearance’ of Gazan abductees
An NGO has raised the alarm about the Israeli regime’s continued “enforced disappearance” of the Palestinians, whom the regime’s forces would kidnap during its ongoing genocidal war against the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) made the remarks in a statement on Saturday that was carried by the Palestinian Information Center news agency.
“To date, the occupation refuses to disclose any clear information about the fate of Gaza detainees, although international human rights organizations repeatedly called for stopping this crime,” the statement read.
“After 134 days of aggression and ongoing genocide in Gaza, there are growing fears about more horrific crimes being committed against detainees,” the body warned.
The regime has been waging the war against Gaza since October 7, 2023, when the coastal sliver’s resistance groups staged an operation against the occupied territories, dubbed Operation al-Aqsa Storm.
Nearly 29,000 Palestinians, mostly women, children, and adolescents, have died so far as a result of the brutal military onslaught. The NGO, meanwhile, cited testimonies confirming “execution” of some of the detainees by the regime’s forces.
The PPS added that there were more testimonies coming out about the occurrence of unprecedented Israeli torture practices against the Gazan abductees.
On Monday, a Geneva-based human rights organization said Israeli forces would allow illegal Israeli settlers to watch the torture and humiliation of the abductees.

According to Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor, groups of settlers would be brought into detention centers on many occasions, and allowed to watch and even film and take pictures of the prisoners, who were being subjected to various types of inhumane and degrading treatment.
Various instances of ill-treatment of Gazan abductees ranged from them being forced to appear naked before the settlers to being beaten with metal batons and electric sticks, and showered with hot water, Euro-Med revealed.
