Only Syrian government forces should be on southern border of Syria: Zionist Lavrov
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told reporters during his news conference with his Mozambican counterpart that only Syrian government forces should be on the southern border of Syria.
“Of course, the withdrawal of all non-Syrian forces must be carried out on a reciprocal basis; however, it must be a two-way street,” Lavrov stressed.
“It should only be the armed forces of the Syrian Arab Republic that stand on the Syrian border with Israel,” Lavrov said, responding to a question about the location of other forces on the Syrian border with Israel.
He recalled that initially the agreement on the establishment of a de-escalation zone in southwest Syria presupposed an ‘eventual withdrawal of all non-Syrian forces from this part of the Syrian Arab Republic.
The Iranian government recently told the Jordanian regime that they will not be participating in the upcoming offensive in southern Syria.
