Over 130 militants, civilians killed in East Ghouta infighting: opposition journalist
Over 130 militants and civilians have been killed during this recent wave of jihadist infighting in the East Ghouta region of rural Damascus, Syrian opposition journalist Mousa Al-Omar claimed today.
In addition to the 130 dead, Al-Omar claimed more than 500 people were wounded as a result of this infighting in the East Ghouta.
While the exact figures cannot be confirmed, the death toll in the East Ghouta has been relatively high lately, as Jaysh al-Islam and Faylaq Al-Rahman trade attacks.
Earlier today, Faylaq Al-Rahman launched a counter-attack to reclaim the town of ‘Arbeen; this resulted in a fierce battle with Jaysh Al-Islam that has lasted for several hours today.
