Over 50 terrorists killed by infighting in rural Damascus
The recent infighting has proven very costly for the Syrian opposition, as over 50 terrorists have been reportedly killed in the East Ghouta region of rural Damascus. The groups involved in the rebel infighting are Jaysh Al-Islam, Jaysh Al-Fustat, Faylaq Al-Rahman, and Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group).
Jaish Al-Islam (Army of Islam) has been involved in nearly three weeks of clashes with rival factions led by Al-Qaeda’s local affiliate in the opposition stronghold of Eastern Ghouta. Social media activists report that Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Riyad Al-Hijab (Syrian opposition leader) are attempting to intervene in order to end the violence.
