Over 5,000 rebels have settled their cases with the Syrian government and have begun returning to civilian life in northern Homs.
According to a military report, the Syrian government heard over 8,000 cases so far and offered more than 5,000 of those rebels amnesty.
Meanwhile, nearly 3,000 more militants had their cases rejected based on prior crimes; these rebels were evacuated to northern Syria as part of the peace agreement.
