Pakistani Defense Minister: Iran’s response to Israeli attacks a legitimate right

Islamabad, SANA- Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif affirmed that Israeli terrorist attack on Iranian consulate in Damascus constituted a violation of its sovereignty, and therefore Tehran’s action against this violation was a defensive and proportionate response.

IRNA quoted Asif as saying in an interview with Pakistani Geo News program that Israeli attack on Iranian consulate in Damascus is in fact an attack on territory of an independent state that resulted in the martyrdom of a number of people.

He pointed out that after this aggression against Iranian diplomatic sites, it was not unlikely to expect a response from Tehran, so the military operation it carried out against Israel was legitimate and proportionate.

The Pakistani Defense Minister stressed that any new aggression by the Israeli entity will ultimately harm it, pointing out that the reason for the hostility that Western countries have toward Iran is due to the support it provides to the oppressed Palestinian people.
