Palestinian resistance fighters persist in their confrontations with Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank, as the region experiences heightened military tensions and aggressive operations in the occupied territory.
In the early hours of Friday, members of the al-Quds Brigade launched an attack on Israeli forces in the Askar refugee camp, situated near Nablus. According to reports, the fighters employed an improvised explosive device (IED) in the assault. Additionally, Palestinian combatants opened fire with automatic weapons, reportedly achieving direct hits on the Israeli troops.
Israeli military units conducted operations in the cities of Nablus, Areeha, and Tulkarm, where they searched residential properties and detained several Palestinian individuals. Additionally, a young man was reportedly assaulted by Israeli forces at the Awarta checkpoint, located to the east of Nablus.
The military actions carried out by Israeli forces in the West Bank have resulted in the displacement of thousands of Palestinians, the destruction of numerous homes, and multiple casualties and injuries. Significant damage has also been reported to civilian infrastructure in the cities of Jenin and Tulkarm, as well as in refugee camps within the governorates.
The Israeli military operation in Jenin and its accompanying refugee camp has reached its 24th consecutive day, culminating in the deaths of 25 Palestinians, numerous injuries, and significant structural damage. Concurrently, the Israeli forces have continued their campaign in Tulkarm for 18 days, carrying out raids and causing ongoing property destruction.
Residents on the periphery of the Nur Shams camp are experiencing increasingly dire humanitarian conditions amidst a blockade and ongoing assaults. Inhabitants have made urgent appeals for basic necessities such as food, potable water, medical supplies, and infant formula. The Israeli military’s actions have led to the destruction of the camp’s infrastructure, resulting in a complete loss of essential services, including water, electricity, and communication.
