People of Golan reiterate commitment to their Syrian identity
The people of the occupied Syrian Golan reiterated that the Golan will always be Syrian, that they will always remain committed to their Syrian identity and nationality, and that the national document they passed in 1981 is their constitution in the face of the Israeli occupation.
In a statement issued on Friday and recited during a rally in Sultan Basha al-Atrash Square in occupied Majdal Shams, the people of Golan said they will continue to stand fast and thwart all the Israeli plans targeting the Golan.
They also refuted the recent statements made by Israeli Knesset member Ayelet Shaked who claimed that some Golan dignitaries asked to grant the people of Golan the Israeli nationalities, saying that these statements are mere fabrications and part of the occupation authorities’ attempts to undermine the firm patriotic position of the Golan’s people.
