President al-Assad receives congratulatory cable from South African President Zuma

President Bashar al-Assad received Monday a cable from President of South Africa Jacob Zuma congratulating him on winning the presidential elections.
In the cable, Zuma voiced hope that the Syrian people and government will overcome the crisis affecting their country, affirming South Africa’s readiness to help in this regard.
President al-Assad also received a cable from Secretary General of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening Ali Akbar Velayati on the elections.
In the cable, Velayati affirmed that the Syrian people have showed to the whole world, through their enthusiastic participation in the in the elections, that they are the only ones who determine their destiny.
He hoped crisis in Syria would be soon ended.
