Rabid terroirsts in trouble as Syrian Army reaches important northern Hama town
The Syrian Army (SA) has been on a roll in the northern countryside of Hama recently, capturing several points from the jihadist rebels near the key town of Halfaya.
Backed by heavy airstrikes from their air force, the Syrian Arab Army and National Defense Forces (NDF) managed to capture Zalaqiyat village on Sunday, killing and wounding more than 20 jihadist rebels from Jaysh Al-Izza and Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham.
However, the Syrian Arab Army did not stop at Zalaqiyat; they would ultimately push further north of this village, capturing four more points from the jihadist rebels en route to the strategic town of Al-Lataminah near the Idlib border.
According to a military source in Hama, the Syrian Arab Army has reached the outskirts of Al-Lataminah, which is not a violation of the safe-zone agreement because it is south of the Idlib Governorate.
This latest operation in northern Hama is led by the 5th Legion and several units from the 4th Mechanized Division, including the 39th and 41st brigades.
