Rafsanjani calls for enhancement of Iran’s global scientific ties

Chairman of the Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani on Friday called for promotion of scientific relations with the world.
Iran should improve scientific ties with the world to progress forward in the field of technology, Rafsanjani said in a gathering attended by local academics.
This is one of the pre-conditions for the implementation of Resistance Economy, the senior cleric said.

Rafsanjani also said that in order to achieving economic prosperity and implementing the Resistance Economy outlined by the Supreme Leader, we should rely on the vast ocean of the people.

Recalling the early years following the 1979 Islamic Revolution and the riots caused by the terrorist groups in Iran, he said that the riots were neutralized by the people’s support.

The nation defeated terrorist groups in every corner of the country, Rafsanjani said.

If we did not defeat terrorists from the beginning, we were in a situation similar to Yemen, Libya and Afghanistan today, he said.
