Government spokesman Mohammad Baqer Nobakht said that establishment of peace and security in the region is Iran’s top foreign policy priority.

He said that improvement of ties with world states is the country’s priority and Iran has always tried to boost relations with the world in particular the regional countries.

Speaking about the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s recent letter to the Emir of Kuwait Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Nobakht said that the Persian Gulf states are seeking further ties with Iran and Islamic Republic wants to make peaceful relations with all regional countries particularly the neighbors.

He advised the Persian Gulf states to avoid preparing the ground for interference of other countries including UK to the region.

On a question regarding recent remarks of the Zionist regime prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Russia Nobakht said his claims are too worthless to answer.

The Zionist regime is not able to sabotage the strategic cooperation between Iran and Russia in Syria, the official added.

He voiced hope for success of recent talks between Syrian government and the armed opposition in the Kazakhstan capital, Astana.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Nobakht said there is no legal prohibition for travel to Turkey, but the Iranians who want to pay visit to the country should pay attention to the Foreign Ministry statements about the country’s status.
