Regional resistance groups commend Hezbollah’s resilience as a ceasefire commences following zionist regime’s heavy defeat
Iraq's Kata'ib Hezbollah, an anti-terror organization, has expressed approval of the recently announced ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon. The group attributed the achievement of the truce to the unwavering resolve demonstrated by the fighters of Hezbollah, Lebanon's resistance movement.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Kata’ib Hezbollah commented on the recent ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, which took effect earlier in the day. This development brings a temporary halt to the hostilities that have spanned nearly 14 months between the two nations.
The statement emphasized that the decision was unequivocally a Lebanese initiative, asserting that any temporary cessation of activities by resistance groups within the region will not compromise the cohesion of the resistance front.
The group stated that additional parties would align with them, bolstering the resistance front in opposition to their perceived adversaries of Allah, His Messenger, and the followers.
Kata’ib Hezbollah has accused the United States of being complicit with what it describes as the Zionist entity in committing various crimes, including murder, destruction, and displacement. The group emphasized that the U.S. should eventually be held accountable for these actions.
The Iraqi anti-terror organization has reiterated its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, asserting its steadfast commitment to the people of Gaza despite any potential sacrifices.
The statement emphasized their unwavering resolve in the face of threats, deceit, and unlawful tactics from adversaries, highlighting the responsibility to support their allies.
A ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah took effect at 4:00 a.m. local time (2:00 a.m. GMT) on Wednesday. Under the terms of the accord, Israeli forces are mandated to withdraw from southern Lebanon, while the Lebanese army is set to deploy in the area.
In late September, Israeli authorities launched an extensive military offensive in Lebanon, following an announcement by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu outlining revised war aims. These objectives notably included a commitment to facilitating the return of hundreds of thousands of settlers to their residences in northern territories of occupied Palestine.
Israeli military leaders vowed to dismantle Hezbollah and remove its presence from southern Lebanon, but ultimately agreed to a ceasefire without fulfilling those objectives.
On Tuesday, Israeli far-right minister Itamar Ben-Gvir criticized the recent agreement between Israel and Lebanon, stating that it falls short of fulfilling the objectives of the conflict, particularly in terms of ensuring the safe return of settlers to their homes in the northern region.
Opposition leader Yair Lapid has criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet for what he described as being compelled to reach an agreement with Hezbollah. Lapid’s comments come in the wake of significant destruction to northern towns in the contested territories, which he claims has led to the collapse of residents’ lives and the overextension of military forces.
Ansarullah Claims Israel Agreed to Ceasefire with Lebanon
On Tuesday, Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement lauded the unwavering resilience of Hezbollah and the Lebanese populace amidst ongoing Israeli hostilities. The movement expressed confidence in Hezbollah’s strategic decisions following the establishment of a ceasefire agreement between the conflicting parties.
Mohammed Abdul-Salam, the spokesman for Ansarullah, asserted that Israel would not have agreed to the ceasefire had it not encountered a steadfast resistance that remained resolute despite facing treacherous assassination attempts.
Hezbollah has demonstrated proficiency in its operations, which have increased both in frequency and sophistication. These efforts have prompted the Israeli adversary and its American ally to pursue a ceasefire agreement that safeguards Lebanon’s security, sovereignty, and independence, he stated.
