Reinforcements pour into S. Damascus for final showdown against ISIS
Dozens of Army tanks, armored vehicles and troops arrived at the frontline in southern Damascus where the government forces are battling against the Islamic State for its last enclave.
The fresh reinforcements, which belong to the SAA’s elite Republican Guards and National Defense Forces, will open a new front against the terror group in al-Tadamun district.
Heavy artillery and rocket shelling, in addition to aerial bombardment, can be heard all over the Syrian capital as clashes intensify with ISIS jihadists who still control a small pocket south of Damascus.
