Saree Issues Warning: US Aggressors to Encounter Serious Repercussions for Heightening Tensions

On Tuesday, the Yemeni Armed Forces declared that they had launched an attack on the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Harvey.

The Yemeni Armed Forces disclosed on Tuesday that they launched an attack on the US aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman, deploying two cruise missiles and two drones. This incident represents the third targeted strike on the vessel in a span of 48 hours.

Yemeni military spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree reported that the USS Truman, accompanied by an American destroyer, was targeted by a cruise missile and four drones. These strikes have reportedly disrupted US naval activities, with Saree characterizing the situation as causing a “state of confusion” among American forces. This disarray is suggested to have led to the retreat of several US warships towards the northern Red Sea.

In a stark warning, Saree emphasized that the United States’ assertive stance could have significant implications, including the potential militarization of the Red Sea and threats to international shipping routes. He reiterated the Yemeni Armed Forces’ commitment to persist in targeting adversarial interests until the persistent hostilities towards Yemen are brought to an end.

The military has reiterated its preparedness to address any potential escalations involving American or Israeli forces in the near future. They emphasized their unwavering commitment to tackling perceived threats in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea.

In a demonstration of unity, the Yemeni Armed Forces acknowledged the widespread civilian protests organized in response to a call from leader Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi. The gathering took place on the Day of Furqan, which marks the anniversary of the pivotal Battle of Badr, serving as an expression of solidarity with the Palestinian cause and opposition to U.S. actions perceived as hostile towards Yemen.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have expressed their solidarity with the resilient Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip, reiterating their commitment to maintaining the blockade on Israeli vessels within the designated operational area. This measure will persist until the embargo on Gaza is formally removed.

The development unfolded as the United States announced the execution of significant airstrikes over Yemen on Sunday night. This action followed shortly after a cautionary statement from the Ansarullah resistance movement, in which the Yemeni Armed Forces threatened to target American aircraft carriers and naval vessels operating in the region.

On Saturday evening, the United States conducted extensive military operations targeting the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, and various other provinces within the nation. These strikes resulted in numerous casualties, including women and children, as dozens were reported killed and injured.

In a coordinated military operation, American and British aircraft conducted 47 airstrikes targeting various locations in Yemen, including the capital city Sana’a and regions within the northern province of Sa’ada, the central province of al-Bayda, and the southwestern province of Dhamar.

In a series of aerial and naval strikes authorized by then-US President Donald Trump, at least 31 individuals, predominantly women and children, lost their lives, according to reports.
