Sayyed Nasrallah: Attendees of Monday’s Ashura Ceremonies in Lebanon Outnumbered 540 Thousands
Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah highlighted on Wednesday the development of Ashura ceremonies in Lebanon and the whole Islamic World.
Delivering a speech during the commemoration of the ninth night of Ashura ceremonies in the southern suburb of Beirut on Wednesday, Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that, since the Islamic Revolution in Iran emerged victorious in 1979, marking Ashura anniversary has progressed remarkably.
Sayyed Nasrallah indicated that Hezbollah security officers count the attendees of Ashura ceremonies across Lebanon, reporting that on Monday, July 24, more than 540,000 worshippers attended the ceremonies.
This number is expected to increase dramatically during the last days of Ashura, Sayyed Nasrallah said.
Hezbollah Secretary General also indicated that the number of kiosks serving food to the Ashura ceremonies attendees this year is around 850.
Sayyed Nasrallah indicated that Hezbollah will hold the tenth of Muharram procession on Saturday in order to unify the commemoration in Lebanon.
Sayyed Nasrallah had started his speech by reiterating the importance of facing the educational war on consciousness, warning against spreading rumors and taking the enemy’s ideas for granted.
