Seyyed Khatami calls on Arab states to cut ties, oil sale to Zionists
The Arab countries are expected to cut political and economic relations with the Israel regime, the provisional leader of Friday Prayers in Tehran said.
Seyyed Ahmad Khatami, temporary Friday Prayers Leader of Tehran made the remarks at this week’s Friday prayer, adding that the Arab countries must cut the sale of oil to this regime and the pursuit of a ceasefire.
Addressing the Arab stats, he said, “If they (Arab states) have Islam in mind, they should know that the people of Gaza are Muslims. If Arabness is important to them, the people of Gaza are Arabs, and if they consider humanity as their criterion, the people of Gaza are human.
Referring to the frequent visits of the officials of Western countries to the occupied territories, he said, “The fact that the President of the United States and other officials of Western countries visit the Zionist regime repeatedly is because they see that this regime is disintegrating.”
Pointing out that the Zionists and the Americans have lost their credit in the wake of recent developments in Gaza, Khatami said, “It is the promise of the Quran that this regime will eventually be destroyed.”
According to the remarks of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, if it were not for the support of the supporters of the Zionist regime, this regime would not last, the cleric said.
