Sheikh Ali Daamoush, the Deputy Chief of Hezbollah’s Executive Council, firmly stated that the Resistance Party is opposed to any attempts to subject Lebanon to US-Israeli demands. He emphasized the party’s rejection of threats targeting crucial infrastructure, including Beirut’s airport and other essential facilities.
In his Friday sermon, Sheikh Daamoush urged the Lebanese government to address the issue of Iranian flights, highlighting its implications for Lebanon’s sovereignty and dignity.
His Eminence criticized the US-Israeli prohibition on Iranian flights landing at Beirut’s airport, stating that the move undermines Lebanon’s sovereignty, constitutes a clear intervention in Lebanon’s international relations, and sets the stage for further impositions that could persist indefinitely.
Sheikh Daamoush emphasized that Hezbollah remains steadfast in its refusal to tolerate any Israeli occupation of Lebanese land and is committed to maintaining its course of resistance, which is seen as a direct response to what they describe as Zionist aggression.
A Hezbollah official has emphasized the organization’s unwavering commitment to preventing Lebanon from reverting to a state of vulnerability, asserting the country’s entitlement to self-defense through any necessary measures and irrespective of the cost.
“Our strength derives from our unwavering faith, resolute will, and the courage of our resistance, armed forces, and citizenry.”
Sheikh Daamoush announced that on Sunday, a ceremony will be held to honor the memory of a distinguished historical leader, describing the event as a momentous and dignified occasion.
According to Sheikh Daamoush, the funeral will not serve as a gauge of public support for the resistance, whose legitimacy arises in the presence of occupation, nor will it be an attempt to regain any lost prominence, as no such loss has occurred.
Sheikh Daamoush stated that the funeral will be attended by devoted supporters of the resistance, who will reaffirm their dedication to the legacy of the fallen leader. This leader devoted his life to defending Lebanon’s sovereignty and national dignity, achieved significant victories, impeded the enemy’s objectives, upheld the Palestinian cause and other national issues, and ultimately became a martyr en route to Jerusalem. He is lauded as a fitting bearer of the title: Master of the Nation’s Martyrs.
The funeral committee announced on Friday that the date when Hezbollah leaders Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safeiddine are to be laid to rest will forever be remembered by those who stand for freedom worldwide.
During a press conference, Committee Head Hussein Fadlallah discussed the concluding arrangements for the funeral scheduled to take place on Sunday at the Camille Chamoun Sports City Stadium.
