Shooting Attack Leaves 3 Zionist Settlers Injured, IOF Stages Widespread Confrontations in the West Bank
Three Zionist settlers were injured in a shooting attack that took place on Thursday morning on Street 90 in the Jordan Valley, near the town of Al-Auja, north of Jericho. Fighters opened fire on a bus and two vehicles near Al-Auja, causing injuries, with one of the settlers being seriously wounded.
In response to the attack, Israeli occupation forces swiftly closed roads leading to Jericho and the entrances to the city. Occupation Military checkpoints were established, and vehicles were stopped and searched while passengers had their identities checked.
According to the Israeli media, a Palestinian gunman opened fire on the settler vehicles near Al-Auja, subsequently withdrawing from the scene. This incident has further intensified the ongoing incursions and confrontations in the West Bank.
The Israeli occupation forces continued their raids into cities and towns throughout the West Bank. In occupied Al-Quds (Jerusalem), they forcefully stormed the town of Kafr Aqab and the Qalandia camp, resulting in gunfire, shooting, and an extensive campaign of arrests.
In Jenin, a specialized occupation force covertly infiltrated the camp but was eventually discovered, leading to armed clashes with the Palestinian fighters. As a response, the occupation forces sent military reinforcements. Meanwhile, in Nablus, multiple military vehicles conducted a raid on a building in the Rafidiya neighborhood on Tunis Street, inciting confrontations. A young man was injured during these clashes, with homemade explosive devices being used against the occupation forces.
Similar incidents unfolded in other cities and villages of the West Bank. Sebastia, northwest of Nablus, witnessed the occupation forces storming houses, vandalizing property, and arresting young residents. The city of Qalqilya experienced the revolutionary youth’s response to the raids, targeting the occupation forces with Molotov cocktails. Numerous arrests were made in Qalqilya, with surrounding areas also witnessing occupation forces storming homes and conducting searches.
In Tulkarm, the occupation forces roamed various neighborhoods, arresting two citizens after raiding their homes. Salfit’s village of Sarta was stormed, with homes raided and destroyed, resulting in the arrest of two brothers. Sound bombs were also thrown at citizens. In Ramallah, a young man was shot by the occupation forces at the entrance to Al-Amari camp, with two brothers from the village of Deir Al-Sudan also being arrested. In Ni’lin, a young man was apprehended from his home. Four additional young men sustained minor to moderate injuries from occupation bullets.
The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that one of their crews attended to a 53-year-old man from Qalandia camp who suffered a live bullet wound to his back. Furthermore, military vehicles stormed Kafr Aqab, firing a barrage of poison gas bombs on Airport Street.
