Supreme Leader declares Israel’s demise inevitable, asserting that the Al-Aqsa Storm is unstoppable

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, has expressed his belief that the Israeli government is on an unavoidable path to an eventual decline.

Ayatollah Khamenei’s official Persian-language account on X, formerly known as Twitter, conveyed a message on Wednesday indicating that the “Al-Aqsa Storm” is relentless and suggesting the eventual end of what he referred to as the “usurping Zionist regime”. The statement reflects the continued tensions and rhetoric concerning the ongoing conflict.

The social media post featured an illustration depicting an Israeli tank partially submerged in the ground, with a white flag emerging from its cannon.

In October, various resistance movements, such as Hamas and Islamic Jihad from the Gaza Strip, Hezbollah from Lebanon, and allied factions from Iraq and Yemen, initiated an operation in response to what they describe as a genocidal campaign by the regime to seize control of the coastal region.

In its subsequent phases, the operation, which initially resulted in the capture of over 240 individuals and the takeover of strategic locations within the occupied Palestinian territories, has reportedly led to the deaths of hundreds of Israeli military personnel. Additionally, a significant amount of advanced military equipment, funded and supplied by Western sources, has been destroyed.

Hezbollah’s effective execution of the operation compelled the regime to agree to a ceasefire agreement with the movement, thereby concluding Tel Aviv’s prolonged 13-month military offensive against Lebanon.

On Wednesday, the group issued a statement celebrating the successful execution of its operation. The statement highlighted that its fighters had achieved their objectives, overcoming enemy forces, and demonstrating steadfastness and perseverance in the process.

According to reports, the strikes have resulted in over 130 fatalities among Israeli individuals, with an additional 1,250 people sustaining injuries due to the retaliatory actions.

Hezbollah has announced its renewed commitment to intensifying its resistance efforts, vowing to steadfastly support the oppressed and vulnerable, particularly in Palestine, with a focus on al-Quds, regarded as its capital. The organization emphasized that al-Quds will continue to symbolize the ongoing struggle for freedom and liberation, serving as an enduring aspiration for future generations.

Earlier in the day, Hamas commended Hezbollah’s demonstrated capabilities during their recent operation, describing the ceasefire agreement as a blow to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s “illusion” of transforming the geopolitical landscape of the Middle East through force.

A statement declared that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s hopes of defeating or disarming the Resistance forces have been consigned to oblivion.

Ayatollah Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, reiterated his stance following earlier statements this week, calling for the prosecution of Israeli political and military leaders on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity. His remarks underscore a continued call for international accountability against these officials.

Two days afterwards, the Leader issued a call for the death sentence against Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, asserting that the arrest warrant recently issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) is insufficient.
