Syria: 1328 Takfiri Terrorists Killed in Army Operations Since March
“At least 959 ISIL terrorists have been killed in the Syrian army attacks from February 27 to April 30,” dissident sources said according to Arab media.
Meantime, monitoring groups and journalistic sources said the Al-Nusra Front, an offshoot of the Al-Qaeda in Syria has also lost hundreds of its militants during the same period.
“A sum of 369 terrorists of Al-Nusra Front and al-Hizb al-Turkistani have been killed since February 27,” journalist Morteza Hossein said on Saturday.
Opposition groups confirmed in their social media in mid March that a sum of 44,992 terrorists were killed in clashes with the Syrian Army and its allies during nearly five years of bloody crisis in the country.
“Nearly 45,000 members of the ISIL, al-Nusra Front, Ajnad al-Sham, Jund al-Aqsa, al-Hizb al-Turkistani, Janoud al-Sham al-Shishan and Kata’ebat al-Khadhra have thus far been killed in battles with the Syrian government forces across Syria,” the sources said.
Military analysts believe that the number of killed militants during war on terrorism in Syria is higher than the figure claimed by the opposition watch.
