Syria and Egypt have been main pillar for spreading moderation and fighting terrorist ideology, says Minister of Awqaf

Cairo, SANA- Minister of Awqaf (Religious Endowments) Mohammad Abdul-Sattar al-Sayyed said that Syria and Egypt throughout history have been main pillars for spreading moderation and fighting terrorist ideology that politically exploits Islam, far from its true meaning.

During his visit to Cairo International Book Fair, the minister hailed the significant role played by Syrian authors and publishers in facing the dark wars that Syria and the region are exposed to it.

For his part, Head of the Syrian diplomatic mission in Egypt, Ambassador, Bassam Darwish indicated that civilized role that Syria is playing in presenting its sublime message to the world through its permanent participation in cultural events.
