Syria: Fiery clashes as SAA makes gains in eastern Damascus
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) reportedly captured strategic building in its ongoing war with militants in the suburb of ‘Ayn Tarma in eastern Damascus.
The capturing of key buildings from militants believed to be connected to Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, a militant group with connections to Jabhat Fateh al-Sham, formerly known as al-Nusra Front.
At least 15 militants were reportedly killed in the operation.
In addition to significant gains in ‘Ayn Tamra, the SAA has made advances in the suburb of Jobar and the Taybah area.
