Syria in Last 24 Hours: Terrorists Fail again to Prevail over Gov’t Forces’ Positions in Idlib
The NDF in Fua’a and Kafraya, North-East of Idlib city, that are under the terrorist groups’ siege exchanged heavy fire with a group of terrorists that tried to break through the government forces’ positions in Brouma Farms West of Kafraya and repelled their attack, inflicting major casualties on the terrorists.
The Monday attack was the fourth offensive of the terrorist groups in the last 30 days to capture Fua’a and Kafraya.
Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over the past 24 hours.
Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in provinces across Syria.
Idlib
Syria’s Nation Defense Forces (NDF), deployed the towns of Fua’a and Kafraya, North-East of Idlib province, fended off a heavy offensive by the terrorists on Monday, inflicting major losses on the militants.
The NDF in Fua’a and Kafraya, North-East of Idlib city, that are under the terrorist groups’ siege exchanged heavy fire with a group of terrorists that tried to break through the government forces’ positions in Brouma Farms West of Kafraya and repelled their attack, inflicting major casualties on the terrorists.
The Monday attack was the fourth offensive of the terrorist groups in the last 30 days to capture Fua’a and Kafraya.
In a similar development on Saturday, the NDF, backed up by the country’s Air Force, warded off a heavy offensive by the Al-Nusra front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board) in the besieged towns of Fua’a and Kafraya.
The NDF in Fua’a and Kafraya exchanged heavy fire with the Al-Nusra in al-Sawaqiyeh farms, and managed to fend off the Al-Nusra offensive after killing or wounding a number of militants.
Also, the army aircraft pounded the strongholds and movements of the Al-Nusra in al-Sawaqiyeh farms and other areas near the town of Taftnaz in Northeastern Idlib and in Ram Hamdan settlement North of Hamdan region.
In the meantime, other air force warplanes launched a heavy bombing on terrorists’ positions in the village of al-Arba’een in Northern Hama and in Tal (hill) al-Waset in Northwestern Hama, inflicting major casualties on the militants.
Aleppo
The Syrian Army opened heavy fire at terrorists’ positions in Northern Aleppo on Monday after the latter pounded residential areas in the region.
The terrorists, deployed in the town of al-Lairamoun and its outskirts, opened artillery fire at residential units in Local Bazaar, al-Nile Street, al-Khalediyeha and al-Sheihan neighborhoods and areas near al-Teb al-Arabi square, injuring a number of people.
The army’s artillery and missile units and aircraft, in response, pounded terrorists’ movements and positions in al-Lairamoun and its surrounding areas.
Several positions, military vehicles and equipment were damaged and a number of terrorists were killed in the attacks.
In a relevant development last week, the army’s artillery and missile units opened heavy fire at the movements and positions of the Al-Nusra in the towns of al-Latamina and Kafr Zita and their outskirts and in the villages of al-Sayyad, Latmin, al-Zakah and al-Arba’een in Northern Hama and Tal Aas region in Southern Idlib.
Also, other units of the army engaged in fierce clashes with the terrorist group in Tal Mosayebeen region in Northern Aleppo and near Mariwadah in Southern Aleppo.
The Al-Nusra’s positions and military hardware were destroyed and a number of its gunmen were killed or wounded in the army attacks.
Homs
The terrorists and their family members left eight regions in Northern Homs for Northern Syria on Monday.
The terrorists and their family members that rejected the Syrian Army’s peace offer left the villages and regions of al-Qantara Shamali, al-Qarbatiyeh, al-Mazazeh, al-Damineh, Ezzeddeen, al-Satahiyat, Deir Foul and Eidoun in Northern Homs for Idlib province via al-Romeileh passageway on 53 buses.
Field sources reported that the fifth group of terrorists and their family members left Northern Homs and Southern Hama for Northern Syria via al-Rastan passageway.
Military sources said on Sunday that a sum of 13,730 terrorists and their family members left Northern Homs and Southern Hama for militant-held regions in Northern Syria in four convoys and after the militants turned down government’s offer for peace.
In the meantime, Anadolu news agency reported that the fourth convoy of buses carrying militants and their family members from Northern Homs arrived Sunday in Western Aleppo and Idlib province.
The sources in Northern Homs further said that the army set up a new passageway in the town of al-Sama’alil to accelerated exit of terrorists and their family members from the villages of al-Houleh region towards Northern Syria.
The sources also said that hundreds of militants and family members left Northern Homs and Southern Hama in the fifth evacuating group for Northern Homs via al-Rastan passageway on 18 buses.
Damascus
The Syrian Army troops pushed ISIL back from more areas and positions in the Southern part of Damascus province after a tough battle against the terrorists on Monday.
The army men continued to storm ISIL’s positions Northwest of Hajar al-Aswad region and managed to capture al-Rus square in al-Jazeera and several buildings near the square.
Also, the army’s artillery and missile units and aircraft pounded the remaining positions of ISIL in Hajar al-Aswad and Yarmouk Camp, destroying a base and several arms depots of the terrorists.
In the meantime, field sources reported that other units of the army managed to advance against ISIL from the North of Hajar al-Aswad towards Yarmouk Camp and imposed full control over several buildings.
The sources said that the army is heading on to end ISIL’s presence in Southern Damascus.
In a similar development on Sunday the army men stormed ISIL’s positions Southwest of the Yarmouk Camp and seized control of the Yarmouk street from the start of the vehicles bazaar to an area between Yarmouk Camp and the Northern part of Hajar al-Aswad region.
The army soldiers further managed to impose full control over the Western part of the Yarmouk Camp from al-Batikheh square up to the South of vehicles bazaar and East of the main street in Yarmouk and West of the 30th street in the camp.
In the meantime, other units of the army continued to advance against ISIL North of Hajar al-Aswad and captured several building.
Also, other army men struck ISIL’s positions and managed to drive terrorists out of al-Jazeera neighborhood Northwest of Hajar al-Aswad.
