The Syrian army also inflicted heavy losses on the terrorist groups in other key regions across Syria.
Hama
Dozens of Jeish al-Fatah and ISIL terrorists were killed or injured by the Syrian Air Force raids on positions of the terrorist groups in Northern and Eastern parts of Hama Province, a military source said.
The source said that the Syrian Army warplanes carried out airstrikes on the terrorist organizations’ positions in the towns and villages of Tibet al-Imam, al-Kabaria, Tal al-Zaatar, Skeik and Mourek and in the vicinity of Atshan, al-Shaatha and al-Telasia villages in the Northern part of the Hama Province.
The source pointed out that in parallel with the terrorists who were killed or injured in the airstrikes, several tanks and armored vehicles laden with weapons and ammunition were also destroyed.
In the Eastern part of Hama, the Syrian Army jet launched strikes on gatherings of ISIL vehicles East of al-Mofaggar al-Sharqi village near the city of al-Salamiyah.
According to reports, scores of terrorists were killed and their weapons and ammunition were destroyed in the attacks.
The raids on terrorists in Hama province took place as the Syrian Army’s infantry units continued to advance in Northern Hama on Thursday, reestablishing security at Hama’s airbase and taking control of more regions.
Field sources said that reestablishment of security in al-Ma’ardes and water tankers area in the Eastern parts of Ma’ardes village and the heavy artillery and machinegun fire from Zein al-Abedin mountain helped the army to advance and drive the terrorists towards the depth of Northern Hama.
“Ma’ardes and Kafra are now under army control,” the sources added.
Also, the Syrian and Russian warplanes attacked the militants’ gathering centers and hideouts as well as their military vehicles near Ma’ardes and Halfaya villages and inflicted heavy tolls and damage on Fatah al-Sham Front (the newly-formed al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist group previously known as the al-Nusra Front) terrorists.

With all of the hilltops East of the Al-Sha’er Gas Field se free, the Syrian Army Forces has now turned its attention to the last mountaintop overlooking the strategic site in the Eastern part of Homs province.
Intense clashes were ongoing in the area, as the Syrian Army forces keep on their attempts to recapture the last site between their front-lines and the Al-Sha’er Gas Fields.
Earlier on Thursday, the Syrian air force targeted ISIL’s military vehicles near al-Sha’er oil field and Palmyra regions in Homs, killing dozens of terrorists.

According to him, after smashing the tunnels some clashes erupted between the army and the terrorists during which tens of militants were killed and wounded.
Elsewhere, the army advanced against the terrorists in al-Farafirah in the Western parts of Qala’a region of Aleppo, which military analysts say is an important achievement given the Syrian forces’ success in breaking the terrorists’ defense lines in the Old City.
“Also, after advances in Farafirah, the army will intensify its attacks against the Fatah al-Sham (al-Nusra) Front and other terrorist groups’ positions in the Eastern regions of Aleppo to use them as a launch-pad for more attacks against militants and open different fronts in the region,” a senior army officer said.
