Syria, Iran to enhance economic and trade relations
Minister Wael al-Halqi affirmed on Tuesday that the government’s priority is to improve the living standard of the citizen and guarantee the flow of goods in the markets, including oil products, in order to boost struggle of the Syrian people in the face of the global war and international terrorism.
Al-Halqi discussed during a meeting with Secretary of the Syrian-Iranian Economic Relations’ commission Rostum Qasdami the situation of the economic, industrial and trade ties which connect Syria and Iran to promote them up to the level of the strategic relations between the two countries.

He saw that in order to enhance capabilities of resistance axis, Syria has to boost its relations with the friendly countries, on top, Iran to rebuild Syria, calling on the Iranian businessmen to establish developmental projects in Syria and help reconstruct it.
Talks during the meeting dealt with mechanisms to activate the credit line in order to ensure the flow of the Iranian goods in the Syrian markets, particularly the basic materials, requirements of electricity, water resources and oil products.
A number of Syrian ministers, Syrian Ambassador in Tehran and the Iranian Ambassador in Damascus attended the meeting.
