Syria: Terrorist Groups Use US-Made Weapons in Infighting in Eastern Damascus
Informed sources in Eastern Ghouta said that a number of Anti-tank TOW missiles made in the US have been used in clashes between the terrorist groups in the region.
“Faylaq al-Sham has on many cases of infighting used the US anti-tank TOW missiles against its ISIL rivals in the Eastern territories of Damascus province,” the sources said.
“Faylaq al-Sham terrorists are said to receive US-manufactured arms and ammunition,” the sources said.
A report in June said that Syrian army officials found a large cache full of US-made weapons destined for the terrorists deployed in Damascus province.
The depot was discovered and destroyed by the Syrian officials after intense intelligence operations, a source said.
He added that the large cache included different types of mid and small US-made machine guns and long-range sniper guns as well as anti-tank RPGs.
