Syria: Terrorists Still Retreating from Positions in Southern Districts of Aleppo City
“Syrian government forces inflicted heavy casualties on Jeish al-Fatah in Sheikh Saeed district and took back Jame’a mosque, the Northern side of the cement factory and the hills of al-Anjareh and Akou,” the sources said.
“Jeish al-Fatah suffered a heavy death toll and its military hardware sustained major damage and retreated from the battlefield to evade more casualties,” they added.
Earlier reports said that Syrian Army soldiers and popular forces stormed Jeish al-Fatah’s strongholds in other districts of Southern Aleppo and captured another key hilltop after hours of non-stop clashes.
The Syrian army men and Hezbollah combatants targeted Jeish al-Fatah’s defense lines in Sheikh Saeed and Housing Project 1070 and captured the most important hilltop in Sheikh Saeed district.
With Sheikh Saeed Hill under their control, the Syrian Armed Forces and their popular allies now possess the high ground in the district, leaving the remaining terrorists in serious trouble.
