Syrian Air Force bombs ISIL terrorists at Lebanese crossing
The Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) carried out several airstrikes near the Lebanese border this morning, targeting the Islamic State’s (ISIL) positions in the Jaroud Qarah and Jaroud Jarajeer areas of the Qalamoun Mountains.
According to a military source in Damascus, the Syrian Air Force specifically targeted the Islamic State’s movements from the Zamrani Crossing, which is one of the terrorist group’s only routes to Lebanon.
Since negotiations failed between the Lebanese government and Islamic State in regards to a settlement in the Ras Ba’albak region, the Syrian Air Force has once again resumed their bombardment of this mountainous area.
The goal of these airstrikes to cutoff the Islamic State terrorists at the border and force them to surrender this part of the Qalamoun Mountains they still occupy.
