Syrian Air Force foils ISIS offensive before it begins
After being provided detailed information and coordinates on militant movements in east Hama, warplanes belonging to the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) were able to foil an ISIS offensive before its launched.
Five VBIEDs were destroyed in the village of Atshanah while several other armored vehicles were incinerated. To top off the disastrous turn of events for the terror group, over 50 fighters were neutralized in the process.
It appears that the Islamic State’s military grouping in east Hama was preparing for a massive offensive on the Salamiyah-Ithriya axis capitalizing on the jihadist-led offensive in northern Hama which saw terrorist groups like Jund Al-Aqsa and Jabhat Fath Al-Sham seize over a dozen villages from local NDF militias.
