Syrian Airstrikes Kill over 50 Chechen Terrorists in Idlib
At least 50 Chechen terrorists were killed in the Northwestern province of Idlib on Tuesday as the Syrian warplanes launched several strikes against the positions of the Takfiri militants.
The Syrian fighter jets targeted the fighting positions of the Takfiri terrorists in Idlib and its nearby areas, killing more than 50 Chechen militants.
Also, the government’s troops pressed ahead with their military campaign against the terrorist groups in Jisr al-Shughour city on Tuesday and managed to recapture al-Qaniya town from the Takfiri groups after claiming the lives of large groups of them.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Syrian troops made more headway in their operations across Jisr al-Shughour and managed to kill all members of a terrorist group in an ambush attack near the hospital of the city.
Also in the past 24 hours, the Syrian Armed Forces clashed with the terrorist groups in different villages and towns of Dara’a province, Southern Syria, leaving a large number of the militants killed and wounded.
Several members of the al-Nusra Terrorist Front were killed and wounded in the army’s operations in Busr al-Harir and al-Hrak in the Northeastern countryside of Dara’a.
The militants’ concentration centers in al-Bai’at village in al-Lajat area were also targeted by the army commandoes, who restored calm to the nearby area after killing scores of militants in the battlefronts.
The same incident happened in al-Yadoua and al-Mzeirib towns where the army killed dozens of militants and arrested dozens more.
Elsewhere, Syrian air force targeted a convoy of vehicles of the ISIL terrorist group in the countryside of the Central province of Homs.
The air force destroyed a number of ISIL vehicles at the Eastern side of Jazal oil field in Homs countryside, killing all terrorists on board.
Meantime, the Syrian army struck a heavy blow at the foreign-backed Takfiri militants in Quneitra on Monday, leaving a large group of them dead.
The army troops destroyed three hideouts of al-Nusra Front terrorists in the village of Al-Doha in the countryside of Quneitra province, killing all the terrorists in there.
Syria has been grappling with a deadly crisis since March 2011. The violence fuelled by Takfiri groups has so far claimed the lives of over 210,000 people, according to reports. New figures show that over 76,000 people, including thousands of children, lost their lives in Syria last year.
Over 3.8 million Syrians have left their country since the beginning of the crisis. According to reports, more than seven million Syrians have become internally displaced.
