Syrian Armed Forces Intensify Attacks on ISIL Positons in Deir Ezzur

The army’s artillery units opened heavy fire at ISIL’s movement near Deir Ezzur city, killing and wounding a number of militants.

In the meantime, the army aircraft bombed heavily several positions of ISIL near Deir Ezzur Airbase in a night time air raid, while other warplanes pounded ISIL’s positions in the neighborhoods of al-Roshdiyeh, al-Huwaiqa and al-Sina’ah, killing tens of militants and destroying their equipment.

On Monday, the army men clashed fiercely with ISIL in Deir Ezzur’s cemetery and near al-Tamin Brigade and could fend off terrorists’ attack on government forces’ positions.

The ISIL suffered a heavy death toll in the attack, army reports said.

The army’s missile units opened heavy fire at ISIL’s movements, destroying a military vehicle of the militants near al-Makbat region and killing a number of them, added the reports.
