Syrian army, allies’ reinforcements enter eastern Syria in large numbers
A large number of Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Iranian-backed reinforcements reached the western countryside of the Deir Ezzor Governorate on Saturday night, a military source in Damascus told Al-Masdar News.
According to the source, the reinforcements were sent from all over Syria to aid in the upcoming offensive against the Islamic State (ISIS) in the Badiya Al-Sham region.
This latest batch of reinforcements from the Syrian Arab Army and Iranian-backed forces to the Badiya Al-Sham region is the second group of pro-government troops to head to this front in the last 24 hours.
With the Islamic State’s latest attacks in Badiya Al-Sham, the Syrian military and their allies are attempting to expedite their reinforcements to this region in a bid to eliminate this terrorist group from this part of the country.
